This project began with a rebranding exercise to develop a new business name and brand identity that represented the family’s 5 generations-long history on the farm – and their future expansion in the export market.
The brand needed to convey elements of trust, family, organic farming, and encompass the family’s organic fruit and vegetable farm produce, farm gate tours, and pick your own experiences.
The timeless, classic typeface and almost ‘plaque-like’ enclosure of the Cantrill name in the final logo tells you the history of the farm’s long family line. Then there’s the script typeface of ‘organics’ – flowing and growing and by nature organic in shape.
Cantrill Organics is Australia’s largest certified organic cherry orchard. When developing packaging design we tied in the brand story of Cantrill’s long family history on the farm – with a historic photo of great-grandfather Cantrill along with horse and plough. We blended this with a rustic look and feel of timber packing cases, and cherries in a handcrafted organic shaped timber bowl, to emphasise the beautiful organic produce.
