We were approached to help with the rebranding and logo design of North Western Library – a small regional library co-operative including the councils of Warren, Gilgandra, Coonamble and Bogan (Nyngan), with the head office located in Warren.

Using the “NW” abbreviation for direction, we’ve created a monogram. This shape points north–west [in first the peak of the capital N]. Then the white space forms a trio of turning pages. The peaks of the letterforms, becoming more fluid as they move forward [left to right] show libraries as moving, vibrant, communicative, and for the community; much more than just books. The colour palette combines the council area colours, in a smooth gradient.
