Jane Costello of Glencara – formerly The Rustic Maze – came to us for a complete rebrand.

‘Glencara’ is the name of the circa 1910  historic homestead, on the property ‘Lower Coolegong’, located between Young and Grenfell and settled in the 1850s by the Maroney family. It continues to be held by the descendants of the Maroneys (now the sixth generation).

The Rustic Maze had been operating for many years as a tourist and garden attraction. Restorations to their 130-year-old shearing shed were made with a view to repurposing it as a romantic country wedding venue. The ‘Forever Shed’, and the beautiful gardens surrounding the homestead are picture-perfect locations for both wedding ceremonies and reception.

The gardens allow guests to mingle and explore as they enjoy canapes whilst ‘taking a turn’ in the many garden rooms. Not to mention getting lost in the maze, and engaging in the many fun activities spread throughout the garden.

The logo design

The logomark references the name itself and its Irish roots with an organic linework illustration of a Celtic love knot. A classic, elegant serif typeface combined with this icon gives an indication of a romantic ‘faraway’ place, it embraces the new purpose of the venue (for nuptials) and is friendly and welcoming. Further Celtic-inspired linework may be used across marketing material such as the website if desired.
