We were approached by Arts OutWest to work with the Joint Central NSW Councils organisation, and Regional Development Australia Central West, to develop an online hub where people can search or discover arts and cultural experiences around the region.
Central NSW Culture Maps – helping visitors plan road trips and explore the region’s public art, heritage, galleries, shopping for handmade items, aboriginal experiences, festivals, family fun, arts, and cultural events.
The brief required a colourful and engaging website, incorporating an interactive mapping application. This presents visitors content that is easily filtered, based on a category of interest and locality, via a Google Maps API integration. Sites of interest can be pinned on the map, then visitors may drill down to further content including thumbnail images, slideshows, basic contacts, and a brief description.
The website includes a blog platform and stories section for news, media releases, and updates for returning visitors to the site.
