We absolutely love this logo and label design we created for our dear friends, Katie and Tim of Sunny Day Honey. They came to us with their existing logo put together from clipart, and we discussed what to evolve in the new design.
The style became much more illustrative and hand-drawn and makes use of full colour, with predominate yellow-orange in a full range of shades. The custom type and banner complement this style. A slightly oversized bee, laden with pollen, rests at the centre of a sunflower.
After much discussion, we landed on a clear labelstock – befitting Katie and Tim’s values – of RAW, REAL, and ETHICAL. You can see the raw honey in its pure state in the jar, lighter or darker in colour depending on the season and variety.
Sunny Day Honey’s beehives are typically located across a range of semi-rural and bush locations in the Southern and Central Tablelands of NSW. Yellowbox, Stringy Bark, and Red Gum are common varieties of eucalypts in the area. These trees can be used to produce some of the best tasting honey in the world.
