We were pleased to work with Historian Dr. Karen Schamberger, and Lambing Flat Folk Museum in Young, on the revamp of the goldrush and Lambing Flat riots display panels.
The History:
We worked on their exhibition series back in 2008 – RAISING THE COLOUR – YOUNG FROM GOLDFIELD TO TOWNSHIP, and now it was time for a new look.
The Design:
The content was revised to provide a fresh new narrative with streamlined text. The reduced word count enabled greater readability. A new engaging design look and feel was created with rich earthy colours, inspired by the museum collection. A mixture of textural backgrounds combined added depth and also conveys the history. We combined these design elements in a grid-like layout with short snippets of content to produce a 2-panel large-format timeline.
Print specs:
Panels printed full colour on 3mm Alupanel:
8 large Information Panels: – 900mmW x 1400mmH
2 Large format information panels (timeline) 2000mmW x 1200mmH
1 x large printed canvas fabric banner 1500mmW x 2160mmH
