That most personal of Sauce projects – Carolyn designed her wedding invitations together with husband Neil. The look and feel was inspired by vintage film posters; a passion for great films and music being part of what brought them together, and film making a large part of Neil’s life.
The design consisted of the names and date of ‘The Nuptials’, set in Strangelove font and curving to form the symbolic ring. This became a ‘logo’ for the occasion and was carried over onto pattern, the ‘soundtrack’ CD and packaging included in the invitation, table settings and favours.
Liaising with those excellent folks at G K Craig Printers, a specially chosen die cut CD wallet was experimented with and the discs were secured with foam dot centres. The invite and CD wallet were printed on Cyclus 100% recycled, uncoated paper stock, and scored for a custom fold to size. As it was to be small ceremony with only a small number of family and close friends, there was some room for hand assembly of all the components which were placed in the CD wallet, secured with a length of red ribbon, and mailed out or hand delivered in red standard envelopes.
