When the Australian Sporting Car Club sought an alternative racing venue to Mount Panorama, Bathurst in 1952, the Orange Cherry Blossom Festival Committee put up their hands to build a motor racing track with Orange City Council.

The track was named Gnoo Blas [an aboriginal word meaning twin shoulders or twin peaks, in reference to Mount Canobolas and the Pinnacle]. This book tells its story. Copies are available for sale from the Orange City Library for $29.95.
